VitellaCare, managed by Crossover, expands advanced primary care in North Dakota
[Fargo, N.D.] HealthyDakota Mutual Holdings and Crossover Health are excited to announce the launch of a VitellaCare advanced primary care center in the Fargo area. Scheduled to open in spring 2025, the VitellaCare center, managed by Crossover, will offer a healthcare experience that integrates physical, mental, and emotional well-being.
VitellaCare’s primary care team will offer preventive care, mental health support, lab work and chronic condition management in one seamless experience. This approach coordinates services to help patients avoid higher-cost care, such as ongoing treatment for chronic conditions and emergency interventions. Similar centers have reduced total care costs by up to 15% by minimizing the need for expensive emergency and specialty care while improving care quality.
VitellaCare will refer patients to local provider partners when specialized services are needed. The center’s Care Navigators will assist patients in coordinating these referrals, ensuring a smooth transition and continuity of care. Additionally, VitellaCare will work closely with provider partners to collectively explore solutions for simplifying healthcare and ensuring affordability, ultimately enhancing the overall quality of care for our community.
"VitellaCare allows us to learn and innovate together, enhancing the healthcare system. These services complement the great organizations and providers already caring for North Dakotans" said Dan Conrad, the president and CEO of HealthyDakota Mutual Holdings. “Along with our partners in medicine, VitellaCare will improve patient outcomes and streamline healthcare delivery across the state.”
Patients can receive care via video visits, messaging, phone, and in-person appointments. Specific care services available at these centers include primary care visits, wellness check-ups, pediatric sports physicals, routine lab draws, and mental health consultations. Because VitellaCare follows a model that prioritizes the quality of the care delivered, services are bundled into one fee per visit.
Crossover Health will manage the center that will be located at 726 13th Ave. E., in West Fargo. This will be the third VitellaCare center to open in North Dakota, with the first two opening in Minot and Grand Forks last year and now accepting appointments. These centers will be accessible to eligible Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Dakota health plans.
“We are proud to team up with HealthyDakota in what we anticipate will be both a catalyst and complement in advancing accessible, high-quality care across the state. We’re thrilled to work with healthcare leaders who share our vision of investing in comprehensive, patient-focused, and collaborative health services in North Dakota,” said Scott Shreeve, MD, CEO and founder of Crossover Health.
